They can do this because they are powered by actual infrared driven night vision technology, just like the really expensive, professional ones used by the military.

Kids have the option of using either the the maximum surveillance mode, which makes them slightly visible since the goggles use red LED lights in this mode, or the stealth mode, which allows them to see for a shorter distance without any lights to give away their position.

Let me start off by saying I was pretty skeptical that a Night Vision product this inexpensive would be any good. I was soooo very wrong, these goggles work well and are a blast, Im sure my nephew will get a kick out of them. Easy to use easy to operate and seemingly durable. The only draw back batteries, you have to ensure you use fresh fully charged batteries or they won’t work, otherwise great night vision fun.

Are the EyeClops Infrared Binoculars worth the price?

These binoculars have real infrared night vision technology and will allow your kids to see up to 50 feet in total darkness. There are two modes: a short range mode, or spy mode for covert operations; and a long-range mode for peripheral surveillance. Recommended as spy gadgets for kids over 8, they provide a unique view into a never-before-seen world with a dual display that provides clear images that can be seen with both eyes.

Unlike the night vision goggles, they don’t have a head strap that can be restrictive or even snap.  They have a form-fitting eyepiece with eye-width adjustment so that all kids (and adults) can use them with a comfortable fit. Another great feature is the neck strap makes sure that the binoculars won’t fall or get lost.

My grandson had been playing like he had a night vision scope, so this was a natural selection.
I first purchased a similar scope and tried it out. It was poorly made, so I returned it.
Then I saw this on Amazon and ordered it. When I received it, I tried it to make sure it worked. It did and was easy to operate.
It isn’t perfect, but for the price it was just what he wanted.

He constantly uses it so I am very pleased with the product and with the vendor who sent it in good time for Christmas.

I would recommend this toy and vendor.

As an educational toy, it gives the user a chance to see things in the dark they would not have without it.

It is hard to believe the night vision quality for this “toy.” It works great and the kids love it for camping or just running around in the backyard on a late summer night. We bought two of these last Christmas and they are still working fine after a year of hard use by two boys 10 & 6 years old.

Don’t forget the batteries!

Both the Eyeclops and Spy Net infrared Binoculars need 5 AA batteries, and from some reviews these binoculars are very hungry.

I bought this watch for my daughter’s birthday and my son is totally jealous. I think he might go out and buy one for himself. The biggest downside is lack of instructions. That was the first thing I looked for as I unboxed it and it just wasn’t there. They are downloadable from the manufacturer’s website.

Programming the time was intuitive. I didn’t need instructions for that. Playing with the rest of the watch took a little more muddling around, but it’s not extremely difficult. Young children might have problems with it, because it requires reading the menu and selecting appropriate options.

This is a lot of watch in a tiny package. I am impressed with technology today that something like this could be a toy. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to add a memory card slot so the kids can take more videos and photos. Other than that, it’s a terrific toy.
